When is the best topwater bite? - October 1st through April 30th provide the most numbers of topwater fish.

When is pre spawn, spawn, and post spawn? - Pre spawn is December & January, spawn is usually February and March, post spawn is April, May, June.

What is the best month to catch a trophy bass? - Every month is a possibility. In the fall it's cranks and topwater, late spring it's soft plastics.

What's the average size of the fish? - El Salto's bass get bigger and bigger every year. You can expect 30-80 fish days with an average fish weight of over 4lbs. with the possibility of a few over 8lbs. Over the last couple of years more than half of the anglers who came to Anglers Inn caught a double digit fish during their three day stay. 90% have caught a 6lb. fish or larger.

What is the lake record? - 18lbs 5ozs. The best five fish, single day limit is 53lbs 5ozs.

Do you supply fishing gear? - We suggest you bring your own rods and reels. If you prefer not to do so, a complimentary loaner package will be provided at the lodge. Anglers Inn also has a fully stocked tackle shop to supply you with anything you might need.
