ADDITIONAL INFO: Lake El Salto has exploded with Big bass in the past 20 days with about 50% of the big fish being caught on crankbaits, 25% on worms, and 25% caught on spinnerbaits. The Bill Dance Excaliber Fat Free Shad being the number one producer in the cirtus shad color and the citrus glow shad color. Using crank and pause method while fishing these crankbaits seems to be the best way to fish them. Worms have been productive and Carolina rigs seem to be better than Texas style. As in last report, black with blue tails, green pumpkin, and watermelon worms and lizards are king. There is a soft bite on the worms and lizards. White spinners with double willow or Colorado blade accompanied with a white trailer have been producing some fatties as well. Again, slow rolling the spinner on the bottom is pretty effective. Here is how a few of the great sticks did in the last 20 days. Bobby Scarborough caught 12-8 lb’ers, 6-9 lb’ers, and 2-10 lb’ers. Gale Easley landed 18-8 lb’ers, 4-9 lb’ers, 6-10 lb’ers, and a 13 lb’er. “Wild” Bill Skinner hooked an amazing 15 Lb - 9oz along with these other trophies-7-8 lb’ers, 4-9 lb’ers, 2-10 lb’ers, 2-11 lb’ers, 2-12 lb’ers, and a 14.4 lb bass. Great fishing Bill! Bill has broken the old record for the five fish limit with a whopping 66 lbs 9 oz. That’s just to list a few of the customers that have experienced this chance of lifetime fishing. 10 fish record in one day from Bill Skinner 128 Lbs. 10oz.
