ADDITIONAL INFO: A Megladonic explosion has taken place on El Salto within the last 2 weeks. Big fish are coming out left and right on just about everything. Plastic worms & lizards, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs, and even some great topwater fishing in the mornings and afternoons. There was a record breaking 258 fish (recorded) over 8 pounds caught in this 2 week period with 31 being caught by my fishing buddy, Hardwood Sculptor, Dave Wirth. The crankbait fishing has really turned on and the best one so far has been the Yo-Zuri watermelon deep diver on which Dave nailed a 14.5 up the river. Dave & I found out that to catch the big one you had to “ Become One with the Snake!” i.e., California Custom Worms’, Snakes, Caymans, Waterdogs and Lizards dipped in “Hot Sauce.” Fishing these baits off the cliffs and dragging them along the bottom almost guaranteed a big fish or a break-off. The Rob Dighe group from N.C. also hammered them on a number of different baits. Gene Borne & Ted Dale had big topwater action on the Rico. I concur, the Rico is awesome! The fishing has been fantastic and is only expected to get better next month. The nets will be no longer be in the water for the months of May and June, which will make the fishing even that much better. There are still some space on our June 1-5 trip, so if you would like to experience some of the best bass fishing in the world, lets hook up! September dates now available.
