ADDITIONAL INFO: The number of big fish has definitely picked up within the last 2 weeks. Some of those big spawned out bass are starting to bite as well as the ones that still have their eggs. We had 38 fish over 10 pounds caught this report. Most of them are coming on plastic worms and lizards. The colors mentioned above have been producing the best and they are in order of importance. Rigging these plastics both Texas and Carolina style have been consistent. Most of the 13- pounders have came on plastics with the exception of one on a pop’r and the other on a plastic similar to a Brush hog. Let’s take a look at some of our success stories. Rich Hatch and son, T-Bone, hooked and landed two 13- pounders, a 12-pounder, an 11-pounder, and a 9-pounder. This was Rick’s first time bass fishing. I’d say he is spoiled for life on bass fishing now! Katie Watson and partner, Dave Burkhart, landed and released 5 fish over 9.8-pounds with the biggest being 12.4-pounds. It is at a dead split to where the big fish are being caught, about half in 15-25 feet of water and the other half up close to the bank. Some nice quality fish have been coming on spinnerbaits as well. Bill Chapman Jr. caught and released a 10.8-pound largemouth bass on a Strike King spinner, the big 1-1/4 ounce. Jack and Janet Perry just left and stated, “This was the very nicest, most professionally operated fishing facility we have visited. We plan to return in the near future and only to a facility operated by the Chapman’s”. Jack and Janet keep up the good faith, we sure will for you at Anglers Inn!
