ADDITIONAL INFO:
Jeff Woodard pulled out the second biggest fish of the lake the other day nearly breaking the lake record. Jeff’s largemouth bass weighed in at 16.4 pounds and was caught on a red shad Powerworm in the trees. We had 238 fish over 8 pounds this report. The water temperature is getting a bit warmer as is the weather. Plastics, jigs, and crankbaits are still the number one baits in the trees and in deep water. The topwater action has really picked up in the mornings with a Pop’r or Spook. Also a soft plastic jerkbait has been doing well early in the mourning. Bob Boisvert and his party of 3 hooked and landed 800 fish in their 3-day visit. Mo Guenther and father came down for Mo’s 8th birthday and he landed 23 fish in the 6 to 8 pound range. Great birthday present for an eight year old. Pat Marley and Alan Warren hooked and released numerous fish and Pat ended up one mourning with his personal best stringer. His top five fish weighed in at 55 pounds which included a 14.3 lb, 10.5 lb, 10.1lb, 10.1 lb, and a 10 lb. Look out for some great bass fishing on the Chevy Sportsman T.V. show with Alan Warren. Still some great fishing to come so lets get some dates in!
