ADDITIONAL INFO:
The spawn is just about on its last leg. Hopefully with the next full moon the bass will be all spawned out. Most of the customers are catching the big bass on soft plastic worms and lizards. The bait of choice are 10” Berkley Powerworms and 8” Zoom lizards. A 3/8 ounce bullet weight in the morning and a 1/2 ounce in the afternoons to deal with the winds. The colors are in order of importance in the “Popular lures used this week” section. Fishing the banks  for the females still on the beds, we are using hard and soft plastic jerkbaits. Some big monsters have come on Rico Pop´r s early in the morning and late in the evenings. The Rapala DT 10 and DT 16 in the Parrot and Blue Gill color are catching some nice bass in the afternoons as well as the Fat Free Shad in the Citrus color. While fishing, if one comes across shad busting the top of the water, a silver Rattletrap or a spinnerbait is working good. Storm swim baits are also producing some fish on the beds. If you are willing to throw this, you chances of a quality fish are a lot better although you may not catch so many. To make it a better trip, please come down with the lures mentioned! The guys from Bass World West did well on big Osprey 7” Swim Baits.
