Additional Info:

The lake is back to full due to some heavy rainfall for 2 days. El Salto has risen 6 feet in 2 days which brought some quality fish back on the bank, well not all quality fish. Herman Shumaker landed the biggest fish of the report on a 5 inch Kinami Flash in the black and blue flake color on the bank which topped the scales at 12 pounds. Some nice bass are being caught off the submerged trees on the bank with soft plastic jerkbaits. 6 inch Senkos and 5 inch Kinami Flashes can produce more numbers than the above average. Be sure to bring them down in the colors mentioned above. Topwater fishing is still producing big bass. Robert Montgomery landed a couple of 7 and 8 pounders on a Spook. He ended up with four 7 pounder and three 8 pounders on his visit. Norman Klayman landed some nice bass as well including this 8-1/2 pounder on a swimbait. They were averaging 40-60 bass a day with an 5-6 pound average with most of their bass coming on a Carolina rigged 8inch watermelon with red flake lizard. The hot spots that they fished included flats, channels and shoreline. Kirby Davenport landed an 11.3 pounder right in front of the lodge on the roadbed on a Carolina rig. He also ended up with a 10.2 on a Storm Wildeye Swimshad in the Pearl white color and another 9 pounder.

Kirby Davenport 11.3 pound bass
Norm Klayman 8.12 lbs.
Edgar Copeland 10 pound bass
Robert Montgomery 8 pound bass

Edgar Flipper Copeland and Jeanna Morris had the following to say about their El Salto experience,
"We had a wonderful time even with all the rain. We had one 10 pounder, three 9 pounders and many 7 8 pounders. Your staff was wonderful and your facilities exquisite.
