Additional Info:
105! That’s how many bass over 8 pounds our customer has caught this 15 days. Thirty five of these brutes were over 10 pounds. Most of these bass were caught on Senkos & Kinami Flashes weightless up on the bank. The big females are on the way up to spawn. Still getting some great topwater action on Rico Pop’r s and “walking baits” such as the Spooks, Sammy’s and Vixen’s. Later in the mornings most anglers are Carolina Rigging watermelon lizards, Senkos and worms off points, flats and humps. Mark Kizziar landed the 2 biggest fish of his life on El Salto which weighed in at 12 and 9 pounds. Another 12 pounder was caught by Matt Vanech. Matt and grandfather – Dave – landed these bass during their 3 day stay: Six 10 pounders, Five 9 pounders, Six 8 pounders and “tons of 5, 6 & 7 pounders”. The amazing thing to this trip - besides the size of bass that they caught – is that they ran out of Senkos so they used 8” and 10” Yamamoto grubs and cut the tail off and used them as Senkos (weightless). Les and Chris Melton say “As usually, everything was superb. See you in May”. They ended up with 2 eleven pounders and 3 ten pounders during their stay. Clint and Chase Henderson slammed some big bass as well. Chase caught the biggest bass of her life Carolina rigging a lizard which weighed 11-1/2 pounds. She also had a nine pounder and a couple of 7 and 8’s. FYI – We haven’t had any offers for the tournament that we offered to other lakes in Mexico in out last report. That should tell you something!! El Salto fishing is red hot.
