I recently took my second trip to Lake El Salto and experienced my second best fishing trip of my life. The best trip was the first time I went to this incredible lake. I caught 200 - 250 Bass in 3 1/2 days of fishing. 40 - 50 of these fish were over five pounds. Many of them into the 7 and 8 pound range. These kind of numbers can only be produced by lake El Salto. I caught fish with plastics, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. I even brought my fly rod and landed fish every day on the fly. My biggest on the fly rod was just under six pounds.My wife even managed to land a 10 1/2 pound monster. I am a professional bass fishing guide at the Alisal Guest Ranch and I know what quality fishing and service should be like. The service and fishing conditions at lake El Salto are the best I have ever experienced. The food, drinks, guides, staff, and FISH are unforgettable. Hurry and book your trip! WHAT A PLACE.  I HAVE BEEN TO A LOT OF CAMPS AND RESORTS SOME OF THE BEST IN PALM DESERT, SCOTTSDALE, THE BROADMOOR IN COLORADO SPRINGS.  EL SALTO RANKS UP THERE BEYOND THE BEST BECAUSE OF THE OUTSTANDING FISHING. THE STAFF THE FACILITY THE AT TENTATIVE STAFF AND FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE IS BEYOND DESCRIPTION. THE ATTACHED FISH WAS TOP WATER CAUGHT AND AS A RESULT OF A 70' CAST TO A TREE STUMP.  THE RESULTING EXPLOSION WAS INDESCRIBABLE.
